SF SKETCHFEST RECAP!

We just got back from performing at SF Sketchfest! Our first show was January 15 at the Throckmorton Theater in Mill Valley, California. We did a fifteen minute set with Mark Pitta, some stand up comedians, and a couple other sketch groups (“Mark & Ari” and “Siblings of Doctors”). We were scheduled to close out the show but during the intermission we discovered that a surprise guest was going to perform after us. Who might that surprise guest be you ask? Well we’ll tell you! It was Patch Adams himself...Robin Freakin’ Williams! We were essentially part of the opening act for Robin Williams. We were already nervous, but having Robin Williams teasing us in the green room upped that feeling by about one billion. Despite this added pressure the show went incredibly well and when we finished we were rewarded with a hearty handshake from the hand that once rolled Jumanji dice!

We did a thirty minute set the next night at the Eureka theater in San Francisco with the same two groups and another one called Boomtime. Despite a lack of celebrities, the show still rocked.

All of this fun and excitement would not have been possible if it weren’t for some amazing people whose pants we will now thank off! Thanks to SF Sketchfest for having us! Thanks to other groups we performed with for being awesome and talented! Huge thanks to Alex Anfanger, Anna Greenfield, Grant O’Brien, and Kyle Williams for performing in the live show with us! Finally, the heartiest of thanks to Glenn Jackson and Gina McGee for letting us stay in their incredible home! Seriously, these people deserve a Nobel Prize for hosting. They are saints. If you see one of them...kiss them on the mouth.
